I've been extremely busy, hence the neglect of my blog - sorry! So, it's just a very quick hi; and to leave an update for what's on offer for anyone to buy from me this week, thanks if you take a peep! There are some gorgeous Quince related miniatures; and a very unusual prep board . . . my next Tudor listing will appear this coming Thursday, sorry for delay!

Well, it's a constant stream of fireworks sounding off outside; and I have to admit - we haven't been to a bonfire this year, still like to look out of the window at the fireworks displays everyone's providing though ;o)

I suppose we're all now on the 'rundown' to Christmas; and although I started Christmas shopping at the end of September, I'm by no means finished! What to buy . . . what to buy . . .

I'm starting a mini project that I hope to share on here somewhere, or maybe two projects - seeing as it'll be Tudor! I quite fancy starting a modern deli too . . . well - I'm probably one of the few who doesn't have one among you all LoL! So, my turn now ;o)

I haven't any auctions listed this week - but there'll definitely be some of my mini's up for grabs next week! So I know you'll all go and take a peep when they're back.

I've just been approached for another really cool commission that I hope I can share too seeing as it's not a private Collector - but I'll have to ask them first I guess.

Well, that's about it from a 'gunpowdered' Yorkshire! Catch you soon!

 'Mini' Fireworks . . .

I realised last night that I'd forgotten the clocks were going back . . . which means my auctions will be coming off an hour too early this week! Groan . . .

Never mind - please do click on the link below if you want to see what's on offer this week - thanks!

P.S. I have a lovely little deli board on there - here's a little preview . . .

I've been working on my website this week, so I do hope you enjoy looking at the new Galleries page! My auctions will be late due to my web, so don't think I've fallen off of the edge of a cliff!

Catch you soon . . . or email me on info@carolcook.co.uk with any enquiries.

I've been really busy with the minis; and then forgot it was Hallowe'en  how could I you ask . . . when the shops have been full of the stuff fofr ages . . .

Anyhow, I had to do some Hallowe'en themed miniatures and I wasn't really prepared, so that'll teach me next year!

Weather in Yorkshire is appallingly miserable, grey and very wet today - we'll all end up with seasonal adjustment disorder at this rate!!! Well, at least the dog doesn't mind, I think he enjoys the vigorous rub-down with the towel truth be known . . . that's why he doesn't mind getting wet through!

Here's a preview for this week's 'up for grabs' for everyone minis:-

Thanks! Bye for now . . .

Tuesday 23rd September, 2008

I'm back from my last holiday for this year - you have no sympathy have you LoL! Anyhow, it was a glorious week in the Cotswolds! So many pretty villages and hamlets . . . beautiful Cotswold Stone Cottages that make you want one in miniature (better not let the DH see this!) I'm under strict instructions - no more houses!

Back to the mini's - I've started a 'World Breads' series this week, with a tempting little creation of 'Welsh Pot Loaves'. They are actually baked in terracotta plant pots! There's a couple of other pieces of rustic bread, apple and pear; and a lovely little bit of Caerphilly . . . A bread knife completes the gorgeous little display. This miniature is wonderful by the way - here's a sneaky peep.

Tuesday 9th September, 2008

Well, it's so cold and miserable here in Yorkshire, that I've had the heating on all day! Hope everyone's staying warm and dry wherever you are, it's done nothing but rain, rain, rain . . .

These images following show my 'Autumn take' on Summerfruit pudding; and there's also a wonderful Raspberry cheesecake too, scrummy!

Bye for now!

Thursday 4th September, 2008

I guess you've realised by my absence, that all was not well! My pc suffered a two-pronged attack by some pretty bad malware, to the point of destroying my poor machine; and I had to order another!

I can't buy one off of the shelf, so to speak; and this wonderful piece of kit arrrived last Thursday; and it's battened down and safe to use now.

My auctions will be up and running this evening after nine as always, so please do take a peak - and, I'll post some images tomorrow as a 'taste' of what's up for grabs ;o)

So, once again please forgive my absence; and I'll be back tomorrow!

Bye!
