I doubt very much that anyone will come and read my ramblings this late in the day on Christmas Eve… But here I am anyhow…
We had a wonderful long weekend away as I mentioned in my last post – but, on the Monday evening at the end of the break – I started to feel very out of sorts, to cut a long story short – I’ve had a vile chest infection, and then was struck down by a Gastric bug too this last Monday, so a bit fed up to say the least LoL! Luckily I had done most of everything that needed to be done apart from ‘fresh stuff’. Turkey and lovely veggies for tomorrow’s lunch were secured Tuesday evening, I’ve done the washing and cleaning this morning (my first sit down since getting up was seven minutes past one!) Because the two bugs I’ve caught have floored me – I’m only just starting to feel somewhat better – so everything’s been a bit slower paced the passed few days. I just have to do the ironing when I sign out of here; and I’ll then enjoy decorating and laying the table for tomorrow’s lunch – one of my favourite things to do – black and gold this year I think, I did it red and silver last year. I have varying guises of all manner of table stuff she says with raised eyebrows – it’s just my thing at Christmas – a decorated table…
Anyhow, I’ll go and do a bit more – here’s hoping you all have the most wonderful time tomorrow and are able to enjoy whatever holiday days you have. Merry Christmas!!
And, in the words of Irving Berlin… “May Your Days Be Merry And Bright…” But I doubt that all our Christmases will be white…
Sending Love,
Carol xx
